Welcome to SB too! Is this your first baby? If so, you're in for one of the most wonderful experiences of a woman's life! Bonding with a newborn is about the most precious thing. :07: Be sure to tell your OB doctor about your diving and all other activities, even if you don't think it has relevance. A good doctor wants to (and needs to) know everything. The links posted here by rtkane are interesting. Didn't see anything concerning lactation and nursing your baby in relation to returning to diving. (I highly recommend nursing them if possible.) Might be another subject to ask about. I'm in PADI classes right now. Certify mid May. I read in our book that not much is known about the effects of diving on a developing fetus. Obviously you can't take any chances! Women have to make changes in many respects during pregnancy. Good thing it's only temporary! I wouls suggest snorkeling if you love diving and you'll have stories to tell your young'un about things you did to be sure he (or she) would want to grow up to love diving too! Ahhh the memories-- next thing ya know, (POOF) your teenager wants to borrow the car and is asking for money! Too bad they grow up sooooo fast! Enjoy it while you can!rtkane:Here's the article on DAN that'll re-confirm your decision to stop diving, in case you were interested:

But better yet, here's another one that discusses when to get back into diving after you have your baby (4 weeks):

And congrats on your pregnancy!
