Hello all,

I just got one of these little beauties in the mail. Thinking about taking it out with me on my dive tomorrow. I had a different light flood on me last week (brand new not sure if user error or defective). Anyway I REALLY don't want anything bad to happen to this light. I wanted to check in with you guys and see if there is anything I should be doing with this light before I get it into the water for the first time. I am thinking of things like popping it open and lubricating the o-rings and things like that.

It'll be a daytime dive and I'll be bringing this just to peek in holes and signal and things of that sort.

If you have any thoughts, I'd sure appreciate it. Thank you!

I think the instructions will tell you what needs done before using it.......I lube'd ( and re-lube ) the 'O' rings w/Tribolube #71.......Makes it easier to twist the head..........It's been a good light, I use it as both back-up and primary.........There's a Co. called Interstate batteries, on the 'net, that really packs their batteries....I get a solid 2hr. burn time w/them..........

+1 , agree

Thanks guys. I was being a little paranoid because I had bad luck with my first couple lights.

I decided to hop in with it as-is (my dives were Saturday morning before these replies came in). Worked great, and even better, did not flood like my previous light. The light did not come with any instructions. They probably assumed that I am intelligent enough to operate a flashlight without instructions. If only that were the case...

The vis was pretty murky so this light came in very handy. After two dives, I really love it. So nice to finally have a solid light in my arsenal after the cheap and/or hand-me-down lights that I have been using.

I will look into Interstate Batteries and lubing the o-rings for future dives. Thanks again for the advice!
