Posting a small image in signature

I thought that I would try posting a small image in my signature, but the result I have gotten is way too large. How can I do this, but in a much smaller version? I am sure it must be pretty simple, but my computer skills are at best, very very basic.

Never mind. I solved my issue by copying the "thumbnail image" instead of the "medium image".
