I'm a Fish!
My dive buddy/girlfriend and I are thinking of going up to Possum Kingdom for a couple of days Sunday and Monday of this week. Can any one tell us what the conditions are like? Unfortunately, the web site is severely lacking in diving info.

Thanks in advance,

Captain Randy.

Is this the same Capt. Randy that I went to dive USS Oriskany with a couple weeks ago?? If so, I hope your doing well....sorry, no help on Possum Kingdom. I'll be watching this thread for info myself!
Take care,
Zach

About a week ago the temp was 78 down to about 35 feet and then started to get colder in the thermoclione down to 58 or so. Visibility was 1- 2 feet and cleared up after 35 feet.

Would be interested in a report on the ship site(s) conditions.

That's cool that I found you on here. I just tried to PM you, but it said you do not accept PM's. I think you can change that in your profile settings? Or, just PM me with your email address and I'll send you an email w/ the info.

thanks for offering to send your pictures! Did you get Katherines email w/ the pics? I think it was combo of Down Unders photos and the ones I took....which didnt really come out very good...except for the 'cuda!

Actually, Down Under is sending me another CD, because the one I bought from them only had 1 picture on it. I can copy it and forward it to you if you want. Did you or Sharon get one? Let me know if you me to burn you a copy. Anyway, hope you are doing well...we are wanting to do some rig trips sometime, but our finances are stretched for the rest of the year, so it'll have to be next spring or summer.

How far out is The Fogg? Is that a wreck?

V A Fog is a tanker that blew up back in 1972 while traveling between Freeport and Galveston. The ship was further dismantled to allow 60ft clearance for passing ships. It's probably the best dive in recreational depths on the upper Texas coast.

It is about 30 miles out of Freeprt or 45 miles out of Galveston
