Ok, so this may seem like a silly question, but is there a way to prevent the RG1208-5 regulator's turrent from spinning?

What is the problem you are trying to address ie why do you want to stop the turret being a turret? What's your gear setup? Photo?

The short answer is probably No, but if you position your LP hoses on the turret in the right places it might have the desired effect

depends how far you want it to spin. You can wrench the turret bolt down hard enough it will be hard to spin. You can also try putting a less slippery gasket in there to prevent it from slipping *both of these are NOT recommended*

If you're diving singles I know it's a pain to have the turret, but you can get a longer LPI hose and you can use that to adjust where the turret sits. It's a PITA but you don't have a whole lot of options at this point
