Reviving this thread again. I just bought a couple new Xtreams and also find you can not sip on the reg compared to my Hollis 100LX. Did you manage to adjust the 2nd stage to your liking?

I like the Xstream second stage well enough to dive it from time to time, but having large number of second stages to choose from the Xstream remains one of the least used second stages in my collection. It's simply a matter of taste regarding inhalation feel, I certainly don't hate it but most other second stages have a more natural feel to me.
With that said, a Cyklon is very much to my liking and has become a favorite.
