NEW design Poseidon Jetstream XStream second stage to Atomic Aquatics Comfort Swivel adaptor

This specialist adaptor allows a Poseidon Jetstream or XStream second stage regulator to be connected to the 'elegantly simple' Atomic Comfort Swivel hose.

While both the Jetstream and XStream regulators give unparalleled performance (esp at depth) they can feel a bit unwieldy as supplied. The newest OEM Poseidon 9/16" hose adaptors at last do allow a standard hose to be connected but even Miflex hoses do not allow the freedom of movement of the iconic Atomic swivel hose. Omniswivels have exposed fasteners and there are some reports of leakage if using the OEM Poseidon 9/16" adaptors with them due to insufficient preload of the o-ring.

Precision CNC machined from Naval Brass (0.8% tin) for strength and corrosion resistance, nickel plated in either Gloss or Satin finish to match the original Atomic swivel hose. Gloss matches the plated brass hoses, Satin matches 316 Stainless or Titanium hoses.. The photo shows more of a difference than in real life under natural lighting.

PLEASE ADVISE WHETHER YOU WANT A GLOSS OR SATIN FINISH ADAPTOR

Please note there are two types of Atomic Swivel Hose, the LONG collar OEM one fitted to certain Atomic regulators (Z3, B2 T3 etc) and the Universal SHORT collar type that will fit on a range of other brand regs.

First identify your Atomic Comfort Swivel Hose.
The LONG swivel has a collar length of approx 10mm and the Universal SHORT swivel hose has a collar length of approx 7mm.
**This adaptor only fits the LONG type of swivel hoses (SHORT collar adaptor is still under development...)

Supplied with two new o-rings (AS568-016 and -017 70 Duro) to service the swivel hose (always a good idea to replace the o-rings even if using a new swivel hose as they can develop a set over time) and a protective plastic thread cap.
When refitting to the reg body the adaptor should be rotated half a turn counter-clockwise to align the M31 threads with the adaptor before screwing on in the usual manner.

Fits all Jetstream models 1978 to current (incl very early G1/8 hose style with the unique round Valve Housing Nut)
Fits all XStream models 2002 to current.
Fits my Poseidon second stage service tool 2894A

THIS ITEM WAS DESIGNED AND CNC MACHINED TO THE SAME HIGH STANDARDS AND TIGHT TOLERANCES AS POSEIDON AND ATOMIC AQUATICS PRODUCTS HOWEVER THERE IS NO ASSOCIATION WITH EITHER COMPANY.

IT SHOULD ALWAYS BE FITTED BY A LICENCED SCUBA SERVICE TECHNICIAN!

The SCUBA Clinic Tools blue alloy wrench also fits this adaptor and is highly recommended for secure mar-free connection!

See other photos for a fitment guide...

This adaptor is compact, streamlined and blends in well with the OEM Poseidon styling.

It transforms the comfort of both the Jetstream and XStream regulators and also works well on a long Comfort Swivel hose configuration.

US$55 plus US$13.50 airmail shipping (tracked and insured) happy to combine items to save freight.

So $78 additional to connect to a swivel hose that is already overpriced or you can accomplish a sufficiently similar experience with a normal $20 hose and $10 fixed deg swivel...

The Atomic swivel hose is a very clever, streamlined design with no exposed fasteners to loosen and cause a loss of gas like one brand!
My adaptor was designed to closely match the original Poseidon styling and be fully integrated.
I’ve found most people use a second hand Atomic swivel hose, the going rate is around $50, and each adaptor is supplied with two new o-rings to service the swivel.
Thanks for your incisive input, no-one is forcing you to buy one!

New stock now arrived, larger production run so I can offer a bit cheaper at US$55 plus postage.

Anyone know where to get a part to connect a T2 second stage to a normal long hose?
I do not want the Atomic swivel.

Fibonacci's adaptor is infinitely superior to others on the market, coupled with the Atomic swivel hose (great with a FFM); makes some domestic manufacturers look like knuckle-walkers -- and we all know what happened to those Neanderthals . . .

I'm a little confused on which hose to purchase as I want the hose to initially use on my ScubaPro D420 then later on an Xstream and Cyklon.

Or

I also see this adapter is available

My adaptor is designed to fit the standard Atomic Comfort Swivel (ACS) Hose (Plated brass B2 or Ti T3 etc) to the Poseidon Jetstream or XStream second stages.
The standard ACS hose only fits Atomic regulators the Universal ACS fits other brands of regs but is much shorter than the standard ACS and so requires a unique adaptor which is not yet available.
The Cyklon uses a similar but different M14 Metric thread vs the usual 9/16 UNF LP hose connection.
My ACS adaptor will not fit the Cyklon but depending on demand I may look into producing a version that will fit a standard 9/16” LP hose to provide a lot more hose options than is currently the case having to use expensive proprietary Poseidon hoses on the Cyklon.

I'm wondering what version of the hose this is for?

As for Cyklon to 9/16 that already exists here

Poseidon Adaptors

Or the swivel version

"Universal ACS fits other brands of regs but is much shorter than the standard ACS and so requires a unique adaptor which is not yet available."

I'm assuming you are referring to the version you are currently developing?

If so I will hold off on my purchase of the adapter from you till you develop the universal acs version.

Are you making an adapter for the universal ACS hose or ACS standard hose to Cyklon?

As one hose for all three/4 would be perfect.

Aha there you go, hadn’t looked at the Miflex product line in a while!
The Standard ACS is by far the most common version so if I develop one for the Cyklon it would be that one vs Universal.
Even so I suspect it may be a small market!!
