On the lower skirt of the Poseidon FFM are two silver-dollar sized impressions. These just happen to be in the exact same area two respirator cartridges would be located. I'm absolutely convinced the company who injection molded the skirts also sells them for SCBA. Looks like AGA does it: from appearances they simply trade out the visor.

an AGA face piece is identical to the rubber part of an interspiro SCBA. just the plastic parts are different. but the rubber comes out of the same mold. pretty much the same mold as a poseidon FFM from what I saw at BTS show a few months ago.

Nyresq,

You're close, if you have an Interspiro SCBA FFM, you can convert it to a Divator (AGA) by replacing the visor, adding an equalizing assembly, and changing a couple of parts on the reg. Unless you get the SCBA for free, you might be better off buying a new Divator.

As for the other applications of the skirts, wouldn't we like to think that the diving industry could support the manufacturers alone. Yep, lots of other applications. Cambry Rubber would have gone out of business a loooonnng time ago if they depended on us tightwad divers to support them, and then we'd have bite mouthpieces and be back to communicating underwater by banging on our tanks or using pencils and plastic... After all, this is the 21st century...
