Bad news - vis was 5 feet - pea soup.....

The only good news is that we were in the water long enough to get the final measurements done for my map project for my Dive Master - will be able to remove my "candidate" status on my profile when I get my card in a few weeks....

Porteau is known for its notoriously bad vis.

It's a great site to work on compass nav.

Though the last time we went - vis was at an astonishing 10'

Wow, I was there on Sunday last week and the vis was about 20ft. What part where you diving. I've found the best vis is around the wrecks or towards the Nakaya as not too many people venture over there.

We were mapping the tire reef - 20' would have been nice......

Can't wait for Roatan next month and 100' vis....
