is any one planning to dive portage quarry 7-23-11 i have never dove there and dont have a buddy not sure if i need one or just join up with someone there?

I'm curious about that myself.

I'll be there on Friday the 22nd but probably can't make it on the 23rd.

I'm flying in from CO to visit family, and I'm hoping to find a buddy, or be pretty sure I can find one when I get there before I pay baggage fees to haul my gear out with me.

I would try to find a buddy first.

However I am sure you can find some buds to dive with there. I did that on my second dive last Saturday at Portage. I would join you but I have a class at Gilboa. My other dive buds will be in Northern Michigan diving.

I'm getting on my plane shortly, going to be there right at 10am Friday. If anyone is interested let me know.

And in case anyone eyeballs a suitcase and thinks it might be too big for your gear - it's not. A drysuit w/ undergarment, tiny travel BC, fins, boots, hood and gloves will totally fill a large suitcase.

My carryon will have masks, regulator, computer and compass. Hey, at least I have room for a pair of underwear, so all is well!
