Port Douglas - Where to get certified

My Father and brother in-law are heading to Port Douglas in July and want to get certified. Any recommendations? Also, any operators so they can see the best of the reef?

All the dive operators in Port Douglas operate at a pretty high standard, but our preferences are Poseidon and Haba Dive

That's a four day course, with two days pool and theory, then two 1-day trips to the Great Barrier Reef. There's a lot more choices and a lot lower costs 40 minutes drive down the road in Cairns. There you can get certified for around half the cost as the course above.
