I'm casting a wide Inter-net for reasonable pop psychology quizzes, the kind that frequently appear as party tricks and such. This is both fun and will lead to serious research/validation, so links are most appreciated. I'm looking for things like the short-answer quiz about one's favorite color, one's favorite animal, and such.
I.E.:
"What's your favorite color?"
This infers one's sense of how one is perceived by others. For instance, typical answers are "blue" or "green", both of which are harmonious, easily-blended, complementary colors.
"What's your favorite animal?"
This infers one sense of how one wishes to be perceived by others. For instance, typical answers are "dog" or "cat". Rationale: the dog is intelligent and loyal. The cat is intelligent but independent.
"What's your favorite body of water?"
This supposedly infers one's feelings about sex. For instance, typical answers are "the ocean" because of its duality (both pleasure and yet-to-be-conquered aspect); or "my local lake/river", because of its closeness and familiarity.
Do you have any more, especially with formal validation?
TIA,
Wayne
