Here are a couple images of how I set up my pony rig. I prob would have posted this in the other thread I started but it got hijacked pretty bad ha. Please if you would let me know if you think this is a good way to have this set up or any changes that I could make to it. Thank you guys!

Looks okay to me. If you are slinging on the side you may want to choke up that top strap a bit to pull it in to the body and not allow it to come forward and hit you in the face.

Will it work? Sure.

The bottom of an AL19 will tend to float even in fresh water, FYI.

Looks like the top loop will fit around the valve and could come off unintentionally. Something to check.

I prefer to keep the bolt snaps closer to the cylinder with as little slack as possible -- just barely enough that I can manipulate the bolt snap with my hand. Any slack will allow the cylinder to move into a top-down bottom-up vertical orientation, which isn't very streamlined.

I've never liked the octo holders since they allow the 2nd stage to flop around so much. I use a bungee loop over the valve and hold the 2nd in place by its hose, not its mouthpiece. You've seen the photos.

Putting the hose retainer (big rubber band) over the strap handle will make it easier to stuff the hose under it. Also I'd consider using two retainers, one near the hose bend and one by the second stage.

I would rotate the first stage 180*, leave the button gauge where it is and put the reg hose on the other side.

@2airishuman the strap can't come off. Piranha-Stage-Bottle-Strap-BLACK-w-clear-handle Looks to be one of these, and the top loop while it does sit over the valve, is tied to the bottom so it's basically a DIR style stage rig but with webbing instead of line. I also don't think it needs a second band, do this instead
