(just finished my scuba certification).

On your course, they taught you the max depth is 18m...and that you should stay close to your buddy, so you can share air if needed.

Those are both wise strategies, that make the requirement for redundant air virtually unneccesary at this stage in your diving development.

Dive with a good buddy...that you trust.... who sticks close to you, and you should never need to worry about redundant air to 'bail' with. :wink:

I suppose that I want to know if I should spend my money on redundant air or on a regulator or computer.

Get the basics/core stuff first. Regulator vs Computer is a different debate. I'd suggest computer. :)
