In case you haven't seen it before, the TigerGear pony attachment is durable, dependable, and flexible. You can check out the details at tigergear.com and their online store. You can also see the system is on backorder from the manufacturer.
If you own a BC, you just thread the main tank bracket through a BC strap and it's always ready, whether you have multiple tanks of your own or you rent. If you borrow or rent a BC, or want to use a pony bottle with doubles, I'm including a tank strap that is not part of the standard kit contents. A couple of CCR divers have told me there are some who use the Tiger Gear Pony Tank attachment system for their bottles.
A tank strap is included, because I threaded it through the bracket for using a pony bottle with doubles--not only for my own emergency use, but so that the pony could be passed off to a needy buddy. I was trying to avoid a repeat of the time I had an OOA buddy surfacing a little too quickly while on my octopus. If you don't need the extra strap, just remove it. The protective mesh for the main tank is the only thing missing. An extra stainless quick release pin is included, as well as the original instructions.
