Pony bottle question

I went through the pony bottle attached to my main tank phase.I found it to be a pain in the butt.I find the best solution if you insist on using a pony bottle is to rig a 30-40 cuft bottle like a stage bottle.To me it is much more comfortable and allows you to keep the valve off till your ready to use it(pressurise system before entering water) and is easily turned on plus its in the perfect position so you can see the gauge on it.
