Hi Im thinking of trying a pony bottle, any ideas on size of bottle, Im thinking a 30 or 40, and how does one sling it to yourself. thanks for the information in advanced,

You can also make one out of a stainless steel hose clamp, a piece of nylon rope, a short piece of vinyl tubing and two stainless steel snap-bolts.

I just did mine for about $14 (2 SS snaps=$10, hose clamp =$2 nylon webbing to cover the clamp + misc. =$2).

Get yourself a stage strap. Here's an excellent example:

I prefer to side sling (cave style) mine, they pull up tight under the arms as oppose to hanging down when slung off the shoulder, this lets you move the tanks backwards and get to everything easily as oppose to having to work round them that can be a PITA.
