Ikelite makes a dive compass that has been around for a long time. I haven't found anyone who thinks it is a bad compass - maybe not the best, but not bad. It is very simple - like the Suuno SK5, but some people consider that a good thing. It is marketed by Ikelite as specifically a dive compass.

I am puzzled why few if any dive shops carry it, including the online stores that sell everything dive related, and I'm even more puzzled why it is sold in photography stores. Why the heck would a photographer need a compass, and why a dive compass (which is a little different than say a hiking compass), and why, of all brands, an Ikelite compass.

Any ideas?
