I just saw Polar Express IMAX in 3D. It was great, definitely an experience more than a movie.

If you're thinking of seeing it, do the IMAX, it is well worth it.

IMAX 3D is he only way to see it. The critics I heard on the radio are slamming the movie itself pretty bad, but say the 3D is really cool.

:( they are only going to show it on normal format here..... but the book was sooo cool, and the old movie as well............. I'll just have to go watch it no matter the format!!!

I went to see this in Fort Lausderdale on Friday. The IMAX was packed, but the movie in 3D was AWESOME. Not, make it beyond AWESOME...
My wife and I both noted that without the 3D effect, we would never have made it through the movie, since it was at its most basic level, another animated kid's Christmas movie.
But wow - Robert Zemeckis just hit it right with the IMAX and 3D effects. I have to go see this thing again during the week.
