Anyone else like poetry?
My favorite is Frost's "Fire & Ice" - compares destructive power of fire & ice to human passions of desire & hate.
Also, being the dad of 4 daughters, I like Yeats' "A Prayer for My Daughter". If you have a daughter and that doesn't choke you up, nothing will.
For those of us who've lost loved ones, Wordsworth's "We Are Seven" encourages us to think of those we've lost as still part of our family. I always liked that one, but it was much more meaningful to me after we lost my wife's mother (an amazing woman) five years ago.
