For those of you interested in underwater photography, below is an agenda and logistics for the October get together.

PNWUPS October 25 Agenda
When: Saturday, October 25, 4:30 PM
Where: Karen & Dan Clements
1619 Edgemoor Lane
Everett, WA 98203
425.418.8755

Since this is October, the pot luck will be a German themed dinner. If you are planning on attending, please let us know by Thursday, October 23, so we can get a head count on who is coming and what you are bringing. Remember that the only problem with German food is that an hour later you are hungry for power!

  • Building a Foundation:
Color Management or the “Calibration of your color space”: Ever feel frustrated when you print an image and it doesn’t look the same as it did on the screen. By the way what are those pesky ICC files anyway and how do I use them? Color management is all about calibrating your systems against a color standard so that all of devices share a common color space. A handout and examples of poor color management will be provided as part of the discussion.
  • Shooting Tips:
Using fellow divers to enhance photos. This will be a discussion of how best to use other divers as models in order to enhance photos. Pick up some thoughts about how to best communicate what you are looking for, and how to achieve the dramatic or size composition you are looking for.
  • Photo Sharing:
Tips, tricks, and tragedies. This is an opportunity to share photos with others, and either share a trick, receive tips on improving the image, or debrief a tragic shot in order to help others avoid a similar issue. If you want to share electronic images, please bring up to three images, JPG format, medium quality, sized 1290x1280 on a thumb drive so we can show them on a large screen TV. If you have printed images, please feel free to bring them and we will display for others to enjoy.
  • Open Forum:
This is an opportunity to speak with others about specific questions and issues that you have been trying to resolve, and provide feedback for future gatherings.
