Hi all, interesting to read people experiences, I was actually looking for advice. I recently dived in the Maldives immediatly on my return to the Uk i was taken ill and had to go to hospital. Pneumonia on my right lung. I was wondering if there was a direct relationship with the diving, We were using all rental equipment etc. Thanks G

I had two friends use rental gear in Mexico and came down with pneumonia, so I dont use rental gear.

Sounds like your rental tank had some moisture and other impurities in it. That will cause p-monia in the lungs real quick. Look into it. You may want the Dr. to add steroids to the antibiotics you've been prescribed.
