Please Vote for My Picture - But Only If You Like It!

As most of Scubaboard the Cayman regulars know, I am no photographer. I just enjoy viewing the beautiful photos and videos posted by more skilled individuals because it brings back memories of happy experiences. My husband has dabbled a little with photography. We once actually took an underwater photography class at the Shedd Aquarium in Chicago and we bought a Nikonos V (film) camera, housing and lights, but we haven't used it in a long time.

The Cayman Brac Beach Resort offers a monthly photo contest that includes both topside and underwater images. I plucked up my courage and entered a topside photo that my husband snapped during our recent vacation because it evokes happy memories. I had found a small hermit crab on the beach and I was examining it and my husband snapped a picture of it in my hands.

I think it would be better if not cropped so tightly. It took me a moment to figure out that the crab was sitting on your hand, and what the red thing was on the right. An alternative might be an even tighter crop, with just the crab and the fingernail next to it, which would remove the green and white clutter of the chair.
