The Philippine National Red Cross and several local TV stations are accepting donations for the victims of the landslide.

If you live or work in Makati,, my dive shop will accept donations, and will send it to the abovementioned, or get the stuff on board the C130's flying out of Villamor Air Base. (VAB is near the shop).

St. Andrew's Parish (Makati City) is also directly coordinating with the Archdiocese of Tacloban (Leyte) in sending relief goods to the disaster area. Their telephone number is: +632 890 1796

If you live abroad and wish to donate cash, please contact your local International Red Cross affiliate.

Thank you for reading this message.

For the US, if you want a donation to go to a specific disaster, you can. But, the RC page doesn't have a link for this one so here's how you do it:

Can I change where I want my donation to go?

Yes. Please contact our American Red Cross Donor Services Department at findev@usa.redcross.org or (800) 797-8022. Please have ready the date of your gift, the dollar amount, the fund it went to, and the fund you would like it to go to. If you need to leave a voicemail message, please be sure to leave your name and phone number, including your area code.

Thanks Twomix,

Will be doing just that today over in HK.

My wife is sending some money through her parents in Baybay, who are organizing relief efforts as well.

Thank you to Cristina G. De Leon, diver, and owner of Theraphy Works, for donating almost Php 20k in canned goods.

Does anybody have direct access to any of the local airlines? I need a sponsor to send it over to Tacloban. A local archdiocese will take it from there to the St. Bernard Parish. It's either that or I send it by ferry.
