This was a widely circulated hoax. It was listed as one of national geographic magazines greatest stories of 2002. I will post the link if I can find it again.

It is plain to see the bridge in the background is the Golden Gate Bridge.

The UK Navy or any other arm of the forces do not have any black hawks

the hawk is in army colours, not grey for navy.
 
Come on. Let's realize the obvious here. The shark knew someone was going to take a picture, therefore leaped out of the water to show his pearly whites.
 
It's obviously fake....but it's still a cool picture. :buggy:
 
that foto was emailed around my office for ages before I shattered my colleagues' naivity and told them there was no way it was real....

Actually, I've noticed that picture appears a lot with a shark deterrent device advertised in Australasian Dive Log Magazine....

I think the brand is Aquanaut - the Shark Shield?
