Just be aware that you can no longer hike to the top of the Pyramids in Chichen Itza. The ruins are typically very crowded. You might consider some others, Ek Balam, Mayapán and Uxmal are a few of my favorites.
I would also advise you to go to Tank- Ha, especially for Cenotes. Pablo is the cave diver there and incredibly knowledgeable and skilled.
