This Thailand Forum has a number of TOS violators. When someone posts an objective trip report, a small handful of users who disagree, for what ever reason, will go on a relentless personal attack against the poster, registering multiple user ids.

The moderators try to help, they will ban a TOS abuser from a single thread, but then just simply start another one. Then, after that, the moderator here will ban that user ID, but the TOS abusers simply create another user id and the process starts again and again.

Basically, in the Thailand Forum we are not permitted to post any trip report, regardless of how well written, that is not a glowing recommendation of a dive center. If we post anything else, regardless of how objective and thoughtful, we are subject to relentless personal attacks, harassment and cyberbullying. The SB TOS is clear on the TOS, but the TOS is not enforced in a way that stops the relentless attacks.

This problem has been going on for a long time, long before I registered around April. A mod penned a warning in January of this year. SB needs to get control of this forum and stop the constant harassment. This means:

1. Immediately banning a new user from the board who registers a new id and begins an attack. This cannot be permitted to continue.

2. Assign a moderator in the same TZ as the forum and have the moderator actively moderate the Thailand Forum, deleting abusive posts and banning TOS abusers. The method of "user reporting" does not work, period.

There are not special "cultural issues" to consider. The board is dominated by English-speaking non-Thais, mostly dive center "professionals" who are protecting their territory. There is no special consideration required. Just clean house stop the abuse and harassment.

Thank you.
