I really think I want to get the ResQLink View. I think that peace of mind knowing what is going on w/o having to decode flashing LEDS in what would be a stressful situation is a worth the extra. I also like that it has no subscription but I also understand this does not give me the option of 2 way comms but do you guys think that is even something I need to consider? From my research i've heard that w/ the others they would send a response asking for details rather than sending help which is the last thing I want to deal w/ if I do have to activate this thing.

Onto the actual device, I have a backplate/wing and try to dive as minimalistic as I can and it seems the ResQLink needs some type of a housing which will add bulk. Does anyone make a specific housing for this thing to reduce bulk? Anyone suggest anything else or have any reasons to look at other models?

Thanks
Dave

Dryfob-XL is made to hold it.

I was looking for something more designed for the device rather than a large round container. Sort of like a go pro case is made for a GoPro. I'm surprised this company doesn't make a dive case for these.

What are each of the dive locations/diveboats/charters that you have dove in the past 2 years & how many times? There's all different types of diving and some equipment is better for different types of dives. I dive in south east Florida and just 3-4 miles from land for 90% of my dives. A PLB will take too long for a response versus a 2 way. But on the other hand if you dive 40-60 miles out in the gulf of america then a PLB is better than a 2-way. Bonaire and Cozumel are very different dives. Now throw in the new T-Mobile satelite function and it's a new choice.

I dive everywhere so I need satellite. I do LOBS for weeks in the Andeman sea. Will be doing a LOB to GBR soon, etc all open ocean water diving sometimes way out

in the Andeman sea.
Wow,,,PLB and also get a Halcyon life raft too. You might be floating for a while out there.

Your ONLY choice then is the Garmin InReach Mini2; it i the only thing like that with a case made for it.
You know, you just might have to compromise on some of your druthers.

Yeah I may have to. I was hoping someone made a case s specifically for these. I may design one and machine from aluminum worst case but id rather not
