Ok I have a PST 119 and have never gotten a good weight check as I have never come up from a dive with less than 1500 psi. I know for a fact that I am over weighted as I did a dive once and forgot my weight belt and didn't notice until the end of the dive... To make maters worse I now dive dry... So I was in my pool the other day scrubing the bottom in full gear when I decided to empty my tank down to 500 psi and do a weight check. I dumped my weight belt and can still hover in the shallow end, I do have a 7 lb weight bolted to the top of my back plate but I didn't want to bother taking that off (maybe next time). So I take all my gear and weigh it, then I add myself to my gear multiply that by .025 wich should give me how much additional weight I need in the ocean... wow I carry a lot of weight in the water! My BP/W weigh in at 14lbs!?! ok the back plate is 5lbs but 9lbs worth of straps, d rings, keepers, wings, and two backup flashlights? All in all with no weight belt I have 95.5 lbs on my person!

tank 44
bc 21.5 (with 7 lb weight, lights...)
drysuit 14 (gloves, rock boots, gators)
undies 3
fins 6.5 (turtles)
reg set 4.5

anyone else ever weigh out all their gear?

70 lbs with no weights or tanks???? Rebreathers? well I guess if you consider your dive bag, the misc pelican boxes and what not 70 lbs isnt too bad.
