Greetings folks,
Wifey and I visited Isla Mujeres last August. Terrible diving experience for my wife, she gets very seasick and there was some very inexperienced boat drivers on our trip. We saw 100 whale sharks on our trip, I'm being completely serious. Snorkeled with them for hours, so bucket list item number 135 has been checked off. We did our first cenote at Chikin Ha on that trip as well. That was the highlight for my wife and now she's curious about other cenotes. Well we are renting a condo for two weeks in June, taking the whole family and a freshly minted 14 year old diver. We know we want to go on a couple of day trips to Cozumel, perhaps more. We are both very early risers so the whole getting there and back experience won't kill us if needed. How is the diving off the beach in PDC? Is Tank-Ha a good outfit to use and will they do a bunch of intended drift dives? In IM it was all unintended drift dives. I loved the whole experience in IM, my wife was a bit unnerved so this is a trip to bring her confidence back. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. We are flexible, have money and are excited to make this an historical journey as well as a diving journey. We want to hit cenotes, go to Tulum and dive near there, take the boy to Xcaret for half the day, visit Chichen Itza, dive the channel between PDC and Coz and hit Coz when well rested. I know Tank-Ha has the licenses to make it there with their fast boats, 30-50min boat rides depending on wave action. Thoughts on all this? Any comments are appreciated. Thanks.

Premature poster here. Ewwwww. Read the other posts and a lot of similar posts. Beyond or Tank Ha. Simple. Looking forward to this being a Cenote trip. Peace. If anyone has any restaurants and drink spots with fantastic rum choices I'm all ears.

Changed plans! Now 2 weeks in Cozumel after reading all of cvchiefs' hilarious comments. I read the boards late until the evening and then sent out an SOS to the family. We couldn't waste 2 weeks in PDC. It's just not right to waste dive vaca time on a channel of underwater sand. Isla Mujeres made me not want to dive that area again but Cozumel is very different. We rallied the troops and reserved our condo for 2 fat weeks. Cannot wait.
