Turneffe Island Lodge DOES have air conditioning, in fact they ask kindly that you leave it on at all times. The cabanas and lodge are all hardwoods on the inside, floor...walls and ceiling....varnished to a high gloss and the humidity harms the woods.

I went to TIL two years ago......one statement.... Turneffe Island Lodge sets the standard to which all other operations are compared. PERIOD.

You won't be sorry....and if you can afford it, upgrade to the private cabana.
 
I agree with Lori's recommendation. The accommodations, the staff, and the diving are all top shelf at Turneffe Isand Lodge. I also like the private cabanas.
