Places to stay in Playa Del Carmen???

Hello everyone,

I need help finding a place to stay in Playa Del Carmen. I am probably not interested in an all-inclusive resort. We will be in Cozumel for 6 nights and would like to stay in PDC for 2 nights. We plan on visiting the ruins from there. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated. We will be staying at either Casa Mexicana or Fiesta Americana, so something similar is fine. Thanks in advance.

Check out the Blue Parrot. The Abyss Dive Center is there and the hotel is convenient to everything and has a great bar. The bar has swings that you sit in and when you fall out of them the bartenders cut you off. Can't say enough good thing about Abyss either. If you get the chance, dive the Ceynotes with Diago @ Abyss.
