Wanting to get in and fearing raging seas, did my old standby can dive under any conditions dive site of Pierce Island. It's a great dive with easy entry, close by parking and an impressive "mini wall". It's a dive you need to dive during slack and have to be very familiar with the tides.

High tide was at 1:33 and entered in at 2:55 PM. Timed it just right as had no current either direction. Water is warm 64 at surface, 55-58 degrees at depth. Max depth on dive was 72 fsw. I had a 78 min bottom time. Unusual number of bugs sightings. Saw stripers in the shallows along with huge schools of bait fish. Lots of frilled Anemones along the wall. While I was under, there was a passing shower. Vis was very clear (30 fsw) With bright sun, pretty bright even at depth.

Hoping many got out despite the angry seas.
