Those mesh tank covers. I hate those things. I would agree with the HUB another bad idea.

I also dived with my SOS meter for many years. I still have mine (as a decoration), though I now use two Suunto meters. I did VERY complicated deco dives with it along with most of my friends starting 1970. Neither I or any of my buddies ever got bent. The people who call them "bend-o-matics" are probably divers who never used them.

Those who disliked them may have had one with a thin chip, or they used them Hatteras fashion. "Take 2 and swap them between dives to get more bottom time." ;)

do you have an old Dacor regulator that you think it's a piece of junk because you can't find parts to service it anymore ...... GOOD NEWS ..... Mares/Dacor have finally acted on our concerns and have come up with a regulator trade in program. If you have a Dacor regulator made before 2000 then you can trade it in for one of 4 new Mares/Dacor models (including the Mares Abyss) to find out more about this program look at thread www.scubaboard.com/t110024-.html for more information

Dang - I never knew my Jet fins were junk. After 20 years who would have known. I guess I'll have to get something new and different. Maybe someone will let me know if it's junk at the store that sells them - before I buy them.

Yes Those dive flags with the small white float that join us for the dive every so often

Poseidon8118:
Oceanics “Lite Vision” masks (a light that doubles as a mask)…please...makes about as much sense as split fins (got a pair of scissors?)...and if you were diving back in the eighties: that crappy neon yellow, pink, green, orange and red ensemble everyone was getting into. Divers were more colorful than a reef full of fish.

I love those circa early eighties ads with women in neon suits and big hair. LOL

I bought a squid cap. That thing would just float off my head every time I wore it.

I have never dove it but heard many stories..
scubapro50:
I just posted a thread about really great diving gear that has held up over time .... this is the flip side and I want to know what is (or was) the biggest piece of junk you have every had the misfortune of diving with. I think the SCUBAPRO DECO METER was the worst peice of gear I ever owned. It earned the nickname "bend-o-matic" because it was so off on so many dives .................... Got a piece of equipment you love to hate ... post it here and warn other divers to stay away from it on ebay ....
