Hi all, here are a few pics of different anemones taken in the Komodo National park earlier this year, using a Canon A570IS. Ahh, it would be nice to be back there!

Wow! These are some amazing shots.

Do you know what the family of anemones are called as in pic 1,7 and 8 at least (perhaps also the others)? We have a name for them amongst ourselves "Condom Anemone" but I doubt you'll hear that widely used :wink:

Cheers! Deefstes, I've also heard those types refered to as bulb or teat anemonaes. From wikipedia seems Entacmaea quadricolor is the species, in the family Actiniidae: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Actiniidae. Cute critters, saw all sorts of different coloured ones!
