Ahhh - I have been paroled - back to low simmer (burble burble).

My wife and I were awarded transfers which will occur within 2 months, so bye-bye to the current crop, and hello to a new crop. Yes, my breaking point was near, but my vesting date was approaching mid-year, so there was going to be a change sooner or later - this way is a win-win as we both stay with this company.

At least it's a change of scenery and climate, and I'm going to be away from my 'new' boss I've had since the first of this year - who was one of the folks in charge of another department the previous 4 years that I and my group had to 'clean up' after - he was the ringmaster. And, this is well known and acknowledged by his peers in other departments and his previous supervisors.

The bliss of a lame duck / short timer is upon me currently, and there's nothing they can do to spoil it!

I found this post by UP interesting as well. I'm no artist, but have been told humor especially via sarcasm and dark humor, is an art form. So, all the supervisors and friends etc. I've had that appreciated this were clearly 'gifted' individuals, while those who did not maybe couldn't help themselves - it might have been a medical condition, and maybe I should cut them more slack . . .
