Aloha Rodney,
First off these fish don't spook that easily so it's fairly easy to get close to them. I believe I had the optical zoom to its max on this shot. I think I was about 2 to 3 feet from this fish. A lot of the fish are hard to capture with the zoom as they move away too fast and you get only the tail or nothing by the time you focus and the shutter goes off. One of the drawbacks to digital is the delay compared to film cameras. I wouldn't trade it though cause I love that "delete" feature.
