Phuket in December

Going to be there for a week, how far will i be from some Awesome Diving? IM not set on staying in Phuket but we are there on business for 2 days. Dont mind a 2hr drive if the diving is better elsewhere.

Anyone have any tips or steer us in the right direction.

You seem to have enough time from your week, after (or before?) your two days of business to go on a liveaboard to the Similans and Richelieu Rock. That's what I would advise!

Whats the vis like Diving in Thailand?

Is it world class diving thats worth lugging all of our gear down there?

We will be Diving Hawaii and Cozumel this year before going there. We already did Bahamas.

Whats the vis like Diving in Thailand?

During the time of year you will be coming, it is typically great vis, as much as 30 to 40 meters (100 to 130 feet).

Is it world class diving thats worth lugging all of our gear down there?

Yes, if you plan to do more than just a couple of dives.

We will be Diving Hawaii and Cozumel this year before going there. We already did Bahamas.

Will it compare?

It will compare very favorably, especially in terms of marine life.
