Phuket fishies

Hi guys.. just discovered this wonderful board. New to fish ID, could use some help with these nice stuff I saw down in Phuket, Thailand over Labour Day weekend.

1.

About a meter long, smallish head in crevice. 10m deep.

2.

Pipefish? In the sand, very small about 30 cm long. 12m.

3.

Stonefish? At the reef, about 0.5m. 15m.

4.

Fimbriated or Blackspotted moray? In the crevices, 1 m long.

5.

Another moray. This one is smaller.. about half a meter long.

6.

This moray was also stuck in the crevice. About half a meter long.

7.

About 10 cm long. Fast moving fish, hiding behind some staghorn at the seabed.

#1 looks like a zebra moray, #2 picture too small to tell

3. Bearded scorpionfish, related to the stonefish and almost as deadly.
4. Fimbriated eel.
5. Maybe a white eyed eel.

Careful about those eels. Read this thread about an attack.

#7 does look like a scribbled filefish, having looked it up in Helmut's book, which I recommend.

I did.. being colourblind and shape blind didn't help. And I think I aced my biology in high school because of my essay on human reproduction. Didn't attempt the question on marine ecology.

But you can only see the head, how can you be so sure


Just kidding, yes it's a zebra moray eel. I also checked to see if it's the same one I've seen at Anemone reef, but no, it's not.
