Here's a site I ran across when looking for tutorials on Photoshop.

They are selling a cd with 13 hours of quicktime movies on how to use Photoshop. However, they have a large number of sample movies on the basics. I found some of them (e.g., magic wand use) very helpful.

found this out the other day:

if you select the crop tool in photo shop you can type in some dimensional parameters in the boxes at the top and it crops to thoses dimensions.

i.e i put all my photo's on my web at 640 x 480, when i do a manual crop they all come out different sizes and make the web page look messy.

doing it this way i can crop then resize to 640 x 480 and it is perfect!
