Hello all,

My buddy's daughter is a journalism major at UF and was assigned to write an article on ecology and has chosen to write at the artificial reef set up by the Neptune Memorial people off Miami. Here is the catch: She needs photos for the article and she is in Gainesville and it is too windy for me to get out there and shoot them for her!

Does anyone have some underwater photos that they can send me of Neptune with the understanding that the article will possibly be submitted to the school newspaper for publication? Naturally, if your picture is used, you will get attribution for your picture in the article.

Thanks for your help! Please send photos to stevesfolly@gmail.com.

Or she could write about Eternal Reefs, with more than 14 sites on the east coast and in the gulf. More than 1400 Eternal Reefs have been placed using the Reef Ball technology, the state of the art designed reef system used in more than 60 countries for habitat development and coral restoration and propagation. Both the Eternal Reef website at eternalreefs.com and the Reef Ball Foundation website at reefball.org have got presss rooms with tons of photos she can use. One of the big differences between Eternal Reefs and the Neptune reef is that Eternal Reefs encourages families and friends to participate with the creation of their loved ones memorial. THis involvment creates an ownership between the family and the marine environment and helps create awareness to the issues regarding the marine environment.
