Seven passengers, including five foreign travelers, were rescued by personnel from the Philippine Coast Guard Station Northeastern Palawan from a distressed dive boat near Pass Island in Culion town two days ago.

Their search and rescue happened on February 2 after their dive boat, Pirate Divers, experienced engine trouble while sailing near Pass Island.

The Coast Guard said among those rescued were the boat captain, the boatman, and five foreign passengers, all of whom were safely transferred to Barangay Concepcion, Busuanga.

None of them has any injuries.
