Thought I would pass this on . . . .

Pura Vida Divers, one of the boats our dive club goes out with frequently, is one of the sponsors for an underwater cleanup at Phil Foster Park in WPB this Sunday 4/25. Last time several of us participated and removed around 300 lbs of trash and came home with t-shirts and prizes for our efforts. Details:

11:00 to 11:30 am Registration
11:30 am Orientation
12:15 pm Underwater Clean Up Begins
1:45 pm Award and Recognition Ceremony

The event will be sponsored by Pura Vida Divers , SS Minnow Charters, Project AWARE and Lagoonkeepers.org. There will be prizes and free air tank rentals. To sign up, contact Pura Vida Divers at (888) DIVE WPB (348-3972) or e-mail at info@puravidadivers.com

Last I heard the bridge was closed due to bacteria in the water. My wife and I also participated last year, and we'd love to do it again. You're right fldivejunkie, it was a blast.

I just talked to Pura Vida and the bridge had been closed but was reopened earlier this week.

Hope to see you there!

Do they shut down the fishing pier for this?

Marc

I don't believe so -- but I don't remember seeing people fishing the last time, doesn't mean they weren't there, but nobody had any trouble.
