Need to get shorter HP hose, which would you guys prefer? I would like the rigidity of the rubber hose, being able to swivel is good, that I ruled out Miflex. And I like the higher weight and more resistanct to damage of the braided hose.

Phantoms have been working out well for me, they act just like a normal HP hose.

Same here. I'm a Phantom fan.

Not too long ago, I needed to replace a HP hose on one of my reg setups, and I was faced with the same decision: rubber or Phantom hose.
I ended up getting a regular rubber hose because it was cheaper. I think I spent $19 on it. The Phantom hose would have cost about $35.
I probably would have been happy with either hose, though.

They are more, and it made a significant difference now that I'm up to 5 regs! But in the grand scheme of gearing up for technical diving the money flow got so bad at one point it just didn't seem to matter.

Some people don't like them as much for a longhose, but I do, have used both and really have no preference. If using a scooter I could see where the heavier rubber hose could be better for not flapping around as much, but for traveling and durability I like the braided hoses.
