Hey all,

I was searching online and couldn't really find much info about this, so thought I would share some images here, in case anyone else is also looking into this kind of thing. I currently dive a Shearwater Teric as my primary, but I'm finding there isn't enough screen space to display the custom values I'm commonly checking (have to keep scrolling) - something fixable with the mini displays feature on both the Petrel 3 and Perdix 2, however, I was torn between the two, since I'm coming from the Teric with it's AMOLED screen.

Here's some side by side shots (granted the this particular Petrel 3 is not the standalone version I was considering). Differences I noticed:

Petrel 3 is much bulkier and is not angled (tilted) towards the diver like the Perdix is
Petrel 3 has a smoother screen refresh rate, most notable when using the compass.
Perdix 2 screen appears more crisp / contrast than the Petrel 3 (despite the AMOLED) - unsure if this is down to some settings somewhere, I didn't really get chance to play with them too much

Feel free to discuss :thumb2:

Profile comparison (though it doesn't quite illustrate just how much lower the profile of the Perdix is

I think they are very comparable. I used to dive a Perdix 2 but later switched to Petrel 3 because I do not notice the size difference underwater and find the screen of the Petrel marginally easier to read. The difference in my opinion is very small and I would be happy diving either one.
