Just wondering how many of us are members of this organization.

What do you mean by the "No, I don't feel like drinking the coolaid?" I don't get it. I would probably say that one, because I am not a member and don't ever plan on being one. But I still don't get it...

Have a bad taste in my mouth from dealing with PETA and its members. They seem to think that all animals must be saved no matter what. When thousands of feral goats and pigs were devastating hundreds of native species here on Catalina, and there was no real alternative to hunting the introduced animals, they fought us.

I had the feeling most of them were urbanites who had little real contact with functioning ecosystems in the real world, but preferred to deal with individual species as their focus rather than disrupted natural ecosystems. Very poor positions from a systems perspective.

I think the cool-aid reference is from those cult members that all killed themselves after drinking it... some astrological cult or something. "kool-aid drinkers" is a recent term used to denote individuals that blindly follow specific ideologies.

I'm not sure use of this term makes sense in the polling option. That would imply that you have to be stupid or ignorant in order to be a member of PETA. A simple "no" as a polling option would be more appropriate.

I can't think of a more irrational, unstable, misinformed, and emotionally tweaked group of people anywhere. I will never believe that PETA doesn't fund ecoterrorist activities and support the Animal Liberation Front and the destruction to property perpetrated by them. It ultimately comes down to the fact that PETA wants to end all human interaction with animals including pet ownership, and even that leather belt that most folks have. Recruiting superstars, who have the most skewed view of the world than any other segment of the population is a great tactic for them but only shows how tweaked the propaganda they spew is. Pam Anderson/Lee/Rock whatever needs to worry about her Hep-c instead of what someone's shoes are made of. Any argument Peta makes is founded in the emotional and irrational. Their premise is cute and cuddly or so they would have some believe, but it belies a darker truth.

The poll doesn't read, "Yes. I drink the coolaid.", but "No, I don't drink the coolaid." implies that you aren't a lemming, which I hear are quite tasty on a stick.
