The water near Lima when I was there didn't look very good for diving, but I wasn't a diver then. Enjoy the food there though, it is fantastic!

Have you been to Lima???
I have stayed in both Lima and Microflores, which is a suburb of Lima.
The beaches were probably one of the most memorable sites that I have seen. Garbage piled for miles on the beach at least 3-4 stories high. People were living in small shacks among the garbage piles sorting through the garbage to make a living. Everyone was surfing and swimming right night next to these piles. Dive here???? Definately not on the top of my list...
Diving in Cusco or somewhere else in Pery...I would be right there...Great country and wonderful people..
