hey everyone
You know, I looked at eBay's uw camera listings last night to research what Sea & Sea Motormarine II's are selling for (peanuts, unfortunately), and I decided to check out Nikonos prices as well. Peanuts, as well. Not "unfortunately", of course, but my jaw did go slack for a second. It wasn't very long ago that a Nikonos V rig was still regularly in the $300 range. I'm just astounded by how the demand for film cameras has fallen through the floor; and these cameras aren't any less worthy just because everyone's gone digital...
Here I am, about to go digital myself, and I'm thinking to myself how nice it would be to finally get my hands on a Nikonos now that they're within my price range. Second-hand 20mm lens and a strobe...loaded with a good roll of Velvia... Naah. Film ain't dead.
