Pennyroyal (KY) Conditions?

Anyone know the current temps & viz (at various depths) at Pennyroyal Blue Springs in Hopkinsville? I'll be leading some AOW deep dives there on July 8-9 and was curious what the temps at 70-80 feet were now (yes, I know, "COLD"). Curious about the viz too so I can prepare accordingly.

It will probally be around 44 degrees, I think the Vis will be 30 or better Thats what I logged last August, and that seem to be fairly consistant. We will also be there the 8th and 9th. Hope to see ya there!!

Went to Pennyroyal today. The surface temp was 80. There was a thermocline at 30' and the temp dropped to the low 60's. At 73' the Temp was 46. The visability was outstanding today. At the beginning of the day the vis was at least 30' if not more. The vis at 73' was also more than 30'. By the end of the day, a combination of a class & other divers stirred things up a bit. There were areas in the thermocline that held particles in suspension and there was a "smokey" haze right at 25- 30'. the visability in this haze was 10' or less. Above or below the thermocline the vis opened back up again. Hope this helps.

I'll verify that... I was @ Pennyroyal diving the weekend before that. We went to the forest on the opposite side. Ask about it the depth reaches 98 feet. Also the vis is great because it's on the other side of the quarry where no one dives much. Temp was 44 on my comp.
