Pemba or Zanzibar?

Hi there,

I would just like to know the differeces between Pemba & Zanzibar in terms of diving, flights, costs & nightlife..

For diving only, Pemba is better. It offers a wider variety of sites (walls etc.) and a better chance to see big stuff. Night life in Pemba - forget it. If you stay at a resort of course there will be a a restaurant and bar there, but that's about it.
Zanzibar is more touristy and bigger and there is quite a bit of night-life in Stonetown as well as on the northern beaches. Zanzibar is also cheaper to get to and cheaper for accomodation.

Bottom line: For a diving holiday, head to Pemba, for a holiday with some diving thrown in, Zanzibar.
